MULTI-PLATINUM selling boyband Westlife has been confirmed as this year's headline at the Midlands Music Festival being held in Tamworth in July.
The internationally-successful Irish group – namely Mark Feehily, Shane Filan, Kian Egan, Nicky Byrne – will perform on July 18.
The group is the only act in UK history to have their first seven singles go straight to Number 1, and they have gone on to sell over 44 million records worldwide.
And with 14 UK number one singles to choose from, along with ten albums, the boys will have no shortage of material to perform live at the event.
Westlife were originally signed by Simon Cowell in 1998 and are currently managed by Louis Walsh.
A festival spokesman said: "Mark, Shane, Kian and Nicky will be performing a full live 90 minute set that will bring down the curtain on this year's festival in truly spectacular style.
"The lads will perform some memorable tracks from the early smash hits like Flying without wings, Fool Again and My Love right through to their recent smash hit single What About Now."
He added: "The excitement is building to what is sure to be a spectacular performance and one not to miss."
The band appears on the second day of the festival and also joining the line-up will be The Saturdays, Scouting for Girls, Alexandra Burke, Olly Murs, Taio Cruz, Chipmunk and Peter Andre.
